001. Casa F

Ingresso-OK.jpg

We refurbished an existing single family house from the 70’s, by splitting it into 2 different units.

By focusing on specific areas, we tried to create different houses, while maintaining common traits.

The entrance is a folding wall to acknowledge an existing pine tree and hide the two gates. A change of direction so that the house would reveal itself only when inside the garden.
A canopy rests on two walls and one column.

We designed a series of playful balustrades that share the same language, material and color, both for the exterior and the interior of the two units.

We added a skylight at the top of the new staircase, to establish a new vertical connection with the light, turning a passage into space.
